AVA Confirms Ray Stubbs as Guest Speaker for AVEX 2017 Ballot
The Automatic Vending Association (AVA) has confirmed that broadcaster and former footballer Ray Stubbs will be the guest speaker at the AVEX 2017 Ballot, which takes place on 29 September at the NEC in Birmingham alongside the AVA’s AGM.
Boasting a successful career in sports journalism, Ray is chief football reporter for BT Sport having previously worked for the BBC and ESPN. From Wallasey, Merseyside, Ray spent five years as a player for Tranmere Rovers before later going on to spend three years working with BBC Radio Merseyside as a reporter and presenter. During his impressive career, Ray has also been a presenter on major UK sports programmes that include Grandstand, Match of the Day and Sportsnight. He has also reported on international sporting events such as the World Cup, the Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. The day starts with the AVA AGM where members will get information on AVA activities along with new announcements. After the AVA AGM, Ray will be on hand to take part in an “In Conversation” session open to all members who will get the chance to ask questions over lunch. Ray will then make the draw at the Ballot. Attending the Ballot will give members the opportunity to secure the best stand spaces for the lowest possible price. With prices starting from just £189 per square metre, members could save up to £30 per square metre off the standard square metre price.
The AVA’s Chief Executive, Jonathan Hart said: “We’re thrilled to have Ray Stubbs at the AVEX 2017 Ballot and look forward to hearing about the joys, trials and tribulations of being a TV sports presenter. It’s exciting to get the build up to AVEX 2017 truly underway at the Ballot where AVA members get the opportunity to secure stand space starting from the equivalent daily rate of £94.50 per square metre.”
